About Us

Landguard Pest Control Team
Traditional Pest Control

We initially decided to form LANDGUARD as an outlet for the many skills we’d picked up over the years. Spotting a gap in the market for a great value, skilled local pest control company, we put together all that we knew, and LANDGUARD Ltd was born! Here’s a little bit more about us…

Martin (director) – most of us have one thing we’re good at, one central area of expertise, and for me, pest control was taught from a young age. Growing up in the farming community, traditional skills were critical, and learning to catch a rabbit or rat or treat insects on the veg patch was all part of my early education! After leaving school, I worked both on farms and as a game and river keeper getting the opportunity to hone my skills in many areas of pest control. During this period, I also picked up a range of vocational qualifications, a science degree, and other pest management certificates to benefit our customers and our business.

Lucy (director) – Before LANDGUARD was created, I had a successful employment history in agriculture, equine, and animal management. I’ve always been interested in the natural world and found the move into environmental management exciting and rewarding. I’m qualified to the current industry standard for pest control and enjoy an active role in our company, both in the office and working with our Bed Bug Detection dog providing emergency searches and routine screening across Wharfedale and beyond.
